Part-time (15-20 hours per week)

Position Purpose:

The Partner Care and Communications Assistant will contribute to the strategic goals of the organization by building and maintaining strong donor relationships. The primary responsibility of the Partner Care and Communications Assistant is to assist with the execution of our fund development program with a focus on external donor communications, project management, special events, and donor relations management.

 

Objectives:

1. Provide excellent partner stewardship at Man in the Mirror with a Christ-centered vision, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and values.

2. Maintain ongoing and building new relationships with partners providing them with genuine care and encouragement.

3. Support the development team by contributing to the overall health of our financial partners through ongoing communications with them.

4. Additionally contribute to the Development Program through recordkeeping, reporting, database management and assisting with events.

Overview:

As the Partner Care and Communications Assistant at Man in the Mirror, you will report directly to the Development Program Manager. You will be responsible for bolstering and improving the organization’s relationships with financial partners as it seeks to transform the lives of men through meaningful relationships. You will work closely with the Development Program Manager to maintain and improve our partner care process.

 

This position requires someone with excellent organizational and communication skills in addition to being a self-starter and commitment to the well-being of our financial partner team.

 

Areas of Responsibility and Essential Position Functions

 

1. Partner Communications and Stewardship

· Helping to ensure that partners are properly acknowledged, continuously stewarded and thanked for their generosity via phone, handwritten notes, and email.

· Supporting our field team of Area Directors around the country by answering their questions about donations and serving their partners.

· Contacting donors whose support has lapsed to update payment methods.

· Coordinating mailings, including monthly receipts, donor thank-you gifts and assisting in ongoing communications with our partners.

· May be asked to write letters, newsletter content, and materials needed for prospect donors and organizations.

 

2. Recordkeeping

· Keeping all recurring donations and donor records up to date.

· Processing donations and handling sensitive financial information.

· Entering communications with donors into our database to provide a record of interactions and donor requests.

 

3. Administrative Support

· Managing ongoing recurring donations through our donor database.

· Monitoring giving patterns and proactively reaching out to donors to maintain a high commitment fulfillment level. · Support for special campaigns as needed, including reporting, mailings, follow up, etc.

· Support the Development Program Manager with donor related events – From Pre-event to Post-event details.

 

4. Events and Solicitation

· Under the direction of the Development Program Manager, assists in execution of MIM fundraising events (including major donor events, partner dinners, galas, etc.).

· Cultivate and solicit partners and vendors to secure donations, and in-kind contributions for annual fundraising events.

· Assist in event related correspondence, mailings, sponsorships, reporting.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

· MS Office – Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Basic Database Experience

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Strong organizational skills

· Proactive customer service provider

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position calls for 15-20 hours worked per week in our Casselberry office. Some additional hours may be required once or twice a year to support any fundraising events, potentially including travel 1-2 times per year. This position requires regular phone and computer use.
